Now Digital Business Knows No Borders

With the eIDAS (Electronic Identification and Trust Services for Electronic Transactions in the Internal Market) regulation having come into force with direct effect on 1st July 2016, it impacts businesses and citizens across Europe. But what exactly does the new regulation mean?

Although eSignature has always been accepted throughout the EU, some highly regulated industries and specific countries still required specific processes or forms of identification that made things complex. eIDAS fixes that having learnt from the lessons of the past; promising to ease the cross-border use of electronic identification systems across the EU.

DocuSign has created these resources to demonstrate how the regulation will prove to be a significant step in the right direction towards the EU’s ideal of seamless cross-border transactions and will underpin the success of the Digital Single Market by helping organisations do business more profitably.
